Do you have a passion for working with couples/adult relationships? Do you get excited at the idea of addressing and treating challenging issues like infidelity, sexuality, and shame? Do you have a drive to pursue clinical excellence in your career? If so, then we want to meet you!
Who We Are
Pivotal Counseling, LLC is a small but growing private pay, group mental health practice with a specialization in treating people dealing with issues in relationships and sexuality. Our team culture is collaborative and supportive. Each team member is seen and treated as a valued professional, regardless of their position or stage of clinical development.
We strive to engage our clients, each other, and our community from a place of respect, compassion, and ethical responsibility. We work to hold ourselves and each other accountable in striving for self-care, work/life balance, and clinical and professional excellence.
Our clientele frequently present with issues such as relational difficulties around conflict or communication, infidelity, sexual dissatisfaction, sexual functioning issues (both men and women), problematic or out-of-control sexual behaviors (non-offending), LGBTQ+ issues, sexual trauma, religious trauma, and other general mental health issues.
Who We Are Seeking
We are looking for a passionate, organized, and self-motivated mental health therapist excited to build a rewarding career in a supportive practice. You’d be a great fit here if you would rather work in a “build, grow, and flourish” environment rather than a “put your head down and ‘punch the clock’” setting.

You would be responsible for providing excellent and ethical treatment to individual and relational clients (couples, polyamorous relationships, and occasionally families) ranging from the tween/teen years on up but primarily adults. Other responsibilities include
Proper assessment, diagnosing (as appropriate), and record keeping.
Participation in case consultation and collaboration with other providers.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with other mental health providers, specialty providers, and adjacent professionals (such as medical, etc).
Participate in team meetings and trainings.
Receive and reply to communication promptly and with proper language and basic grammar.
Do all of the above while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards at the highest level.
Be continuously developing and honing clinical skills and expertise. For pre-licensed clinicians, this includes proactively pursuing full independent clinical licensure in a timely manner.
